KK OUTLET: Becoming the Story, catalogue & identity design
MY ROLE: Concept / art direction / design
EXHIBITION PRODUCTION & CURATION: Danielle Pender
EDITOR: Chris Barret
PHOTOGRAPHY: Giles Duley
CREATIVE DIRECTION / AGENCY: KK Outlet
KK Outlet were privileged to work with Giles Duley — a humanitarian photographer who lost three of his limbs when he tragically stood on an IED whilst in Afghanistan. A retrospective of his work to date was shown at KK Outlet to raise both money and awareness.
An identity and catalogue were needed to accompany the show. Traditional newspapers were the starting point for the design, from there additional subtle details were incorporated, hinting at the blood-shed and horror Giles has witnessed on his expeditions. The exhibition raised funds for Giles who is now walking again with prosthetic legs.
